| Dear House Fairy,
I just wanted to write and say how much improved my 6 year old son Sean is after you started coming to visit us earlier this year. Like you (and me!) he so enjoys having a clean and organized room, but finds it a challenge to keep it that way when new projects, paper, toys and now, his younger brother sleeps on a mattress on the floor next to his bed. But Sean has a generous spirit and has kindly shared his room with his brother, so Ryan won't be lonely, and his books - though Ryan is not so good about putting them back (as you noticed.) Still, Sean continues to make progress and his room is definitely presentable these days, and with additional help from you and determination from him, his room will be soon be ready to be posted on the "clean rooms" page!!
I am so proud of Sean and the progress he has made, and his kindness in sharing with his brother. Thanks!
Love,
Sean's loving mommy, Catherine |
| WE HAVE RECEIVED MORE THAN 1,000 Testimonials since January 1st. Here are a few of them.
At first I ordered the program cause who can beat half off, and only $10! I showed my 7 and 4 year old girls the videos. They watched two videos and were off, they cleaned their room, the toy room and even vacuumed these two rooms plus the stairs. Then they waited, as they waited the looked at their 17 month old brotherâs room and didn't want the house fairy to forget him so they cleaned his room as well! Of course as soon as their dad got home from work I headed into town to get their surprises and the fairy dust. They were so surprised and giggly when they woke up this morning! They made their beds and came up and tried to make mine while daddy was still in it! Then they wanted to call all their cousins to tell them about the house fairy, even grandma who introduced us to you got a call. Thanks for all your hard work and the program, I know our lives and house will never be the same!
Sincerely, Jessica
Dear House Fairy
I wanted the idea of cleaning to be fun.....something that will ingrain habits into my kids that will carry them through their entire lives.
By using the entire program, it makes The House Fairy real to my kids, makes it fun and makes them WANT to do it. Only using part of the system would be like buying a car without the engine or without the tires.....yep, it is still a car, but it won't do what you want it to do. The one special 'bonus' I love about the House Fairy system is there is no bad guy.....not mom, not dad, not even the kids. They learn about making choices, good or bad. It also reinforces the simple lesson of taking responsibility for what they do and do not do. Let's face it, kids quickly tune out a parent's voice that is saying something they don't want to hear. I want my kids to be able to reason intelligently what is right and wrong without falling into the trap of peer pressure.....one way to do that is to build up their self-esteem on making the 'right' choices and seeing the long term effect (and for a kid that could be only a day, but it's a start in the proper direction). My kids love how their room looks when they keep it tidy, they love the 'feel' of it and they love that there is no nagging.
Respectfully,
Sandy B

$10 to not have to fight with my kids about cleaning?!?!?! Honestly, my home is so much cleaner since we started the House Fairy and I don't have to fight with them. They help! They offer to help! Before they didn't realize when a room was messy. Now they walk into a room and say "the House Fairy won't like this" or "my room is messy."

When I first went on the House Fairy website I thought about not buying it but doing it on my own. I am sooooo glad I bought it. My children love watching the different videos and I like that the House Fairy teaches my children more than just cleaning their rooms. I have used most of the great things in The Parentâs Tool Box. My children proudly put up their Certificates of Excellence in their rooms.
My children love the House Fairy song and they canât wait for the other songs the House Fairy is working on.
Heather (7) wantâs to know when PapaTerry is going to tell more stories and I wish you could have seen Amberâs eyes when the House Fairy sang a birthday song JUST FOR HER.
Most of all, I would not have felt right to have stolen this wonderful concept.
Love, Dee
Hi
The program is working great. My kids check several times a day to see if the House Fairy has come. My 4 year old doesn't want to leave the house to drop off the 6 year old at school without his room being in ship shape, just in case the house fairy might come while we're gone.
My sister has purchased your program and loves it. Our kids call each other on the phone to report their latest house fairy encounter. She has introduced a couple of friends to it as well. I also have a cousin who has joined and was amazed that her kids ran off to clean there rooms right away after watching the video where she tells them to put 5 things away.
Anyway, thank you so much for setting this up. You guys are changing the world with this. I'm sure it won't be too long before the House Fairy is a household name everywhere.
Talk to you later,
Jamie Sue
Dear House Fairy,
We are using your services for our kids and even though they are all older -- 17, 14, and 10-- and BOYS!!-- they think it is fun! They clean their rooms and they love their rewards. They just asked that you not use little hearts anymore. So you brought little craft pom poms in the colors of the football team that one of them plays for. They just scooped it up and gave it to me and said that the House Fairy could have it and "recycle" it. Fun! Fun! Fun! (Now the job gets done!)
We love you, House Fairy!

Hiya!
I want to thank you so very much from my heart of hearts for your program. I am a single mom in school 40 hrs/wk and I have 2 young sons, 8 and 6, who were the dirtiest, messiest, totally unmotivated to clean up their messes little boys as you can believe. I was skeptical about anything working (especially on the 8yo) as I have tried about everything else prior to finding your program. I testify now that you were completely correct when you said your program has IMMEDIATE effect on kids, because it sure did on mine. Both of my boys immediately ran to their room and couldn't quite find 15 things each to pick up so they went to living room! They ran back here to watch a couple more videos and then immediately went and made beds and got clothes ready for the next day. I was SHOCKED! I just praised God, and you hehehe for the very best $10 I have EVER spent in my life. The next day after school, the boys came home and were disappointed that you had not visited their room right away! I showed the 8yo the video showing how to clean your drawers. He got straight up and went to his room and dumped out all 6 of his clothes drawers, folded all the clothes, and put them away how you said. I nearly had a heart attack. The House Fairy came the next day with 2 boxes for fairy dust, the printed certificates and the chores/rules list already hung up on a cork board which was hung just inside their bedroom door! They loved it! My 8 yo stood there and read all the chores/rules. He obviously memorized them because when I had to mention about setting his clothes out, he stated "That is not on the chores list!" OOPS! He reminded me actually that that rule is from FlyLady! LOL Your program is AMAZING and again, thank you for blessing our family!

Thank you so much for your wonderful program!
Our two boys Andy aged 6 and Callum, 8 share a room. Usually it was difficult to even walk in there- now it is beautiful - they tidy it before they go to school and before they go to bed!
They did have bunk beds- since House Fairy started visiting we have cut the bunk in half and the boys have a side of the room each- they are much happier being responsible for their own space (they even have a line marked down the centre of the carpet with masking tape!)

HI!
My two DDs (81/2 and 7) and I started the House Fairy program today. They share a small bedroom so we do not keep toys in there, but when it came time for the 5 things they ran into their room and started to tidy up. I bet them I could have my room done before they could and the race was on. (FlyLady, please block your ears!! It was our first snow day of the school year so my bed was not made yet and we were having a "Pajama Day".) I was putting a load of laundry away when they came running up the steps shouting, "We're done! We're done!" They then wanted to help me, so we folded and put away another load of laundry, dusted and vacuumed the bedroom. Swiffered, dusted, and cleaned windows in the dining room. Tidied up the livingroom. Then I finished out by cleaning the bathroom. We blessed 90% of our house and then did a craft project to finish off our afternoon. We had a blast (including Bratnella)!
Most of their toys are in our rec room, so they have been told the the House Fairy will not only check their bedroom to see if their beds are made and their desk is tidy, but she will also check to see if the rec room is a mess or the toys are picked up and put away.
They also informed me that they thought the House Fairy might take a peek in the "Yellow Room" (This is the last room in the house to be "Flywashed".) and that maybe I should do an extra 15 minutes of Flying in that room everyday so that the House Fairy sees that I am trying to tidy it up. They really don't want anything messing this up do they!?!

Dear HF,
I am amazed at how much my four year old son likes to keep is room clean, and it has spread to the living room and play room too. He even makes his two year old sister's bed since she can't do it herself yet and he wants to make sure that they you see the whole room clean when you visit.
I expect a lot more people joining from NJ as he tells every kid he meets about The House Fairy and their moms are starting to ask me about it!
Thanks,
Michele
Dear House Fairy,
Today was the first visit you made to our house and my kids couldn't be more excited! They found multi-colored star fairy dust, and a small prize for each (one got magic cards, and 2 got puzzles from the dollar store). They are so proud of themselves! The reason I chose today for House Fair to visit was because they have SUCCESSFULLY kept their rooms neat and tidy for a whole week! I am THRILLED! Thank you so much for sharing this fabulous system with us! I am a happier mom, and my kids are happier too. It feels so good to not be frustrated. I'm also really working on learning how to really FLY. I've been a fledgling for at least 5 years now, and it's finally sinking in. So, thank you a million times over, for helping me be a happier mom, and have happier kids! You are one of my top 5 heros!

Hi!!!
I am a proud House Fairy member. I have 3 boys (17, 4 and almost 3 years old). All three are thrilled about their visits. I didn't think the 17 year old would care, but when he found out there were treats involved, he hopped on board. Although I have been sworn to secrecy in regards to his friends.
I really just wanted to thank you though for your speedy customer service. When I first started out, I couldn't watch the videos. "This is strange," I thought, and waited until the next day to e-mail and let them know I was having a problem. I was sure you'd get back to me within a day or so--actually, it was more like 10 minutes!!!! I was floored. Once I had explained my problem, you wrote back and told me what to do and within 25 minutes the problem was no more!!!! I can hardly believe it.
You all could teach a thing or two about customer service to many, many companies out there. You rock!!!!!!
Thanks again!!!! Flybaby from Indiana and her brat Lucy
Good evening!!
My daughter has been very sick and has missed 2 full weeks of school. She has been working very hard to complete her make-up work (while keeping up with current classwork). She has only been back to school the last half of this past week, so there is a lot of work. March is the big month for the science fair, autobiographical book report, and AWANA competition, so she is feeling overwhelmed. Add on the weakened state from her long illness, and she just collapses into bed at night. Tonight the HouseFairy dropped off her intro-letter & some glitter. The first laughter to enter this house for a couple of weeks!! It was amazing to see her dirty clothes make it into the washer - her belt hung up where she can find it in the morning - AND tomorrow's clothes laid out - WITHOUT a word from me. I am not sure this is really happening, but if it is a dream, don't wake me. Thank you so much for making me a believer! God Bless you - Flybaby from Nevada.
**THE HOUSEFAIRY ROCKS AT MY HOUSE**
Hello there,
In the meantime, the House Fairy (including the welcome letter and the story I read to the children) has done wonders for our home. Since the HF letter arrived, my 5-year-old daughterâs room is tidy every day and my messy 7-y-oâs room is vastly improved! ď When we do have to clean up, it only takes a few minutes instead of the hours it used to take. Even my son says how nice it is to have a tidy room. He has even resolved to keep his desk at school tidy because he can see that life is easier when you are more organised and you can find your things when you want them!
Thank you for this lovely program. I can see that it is giving the children a chance to develop life-long skills, without my having to nag them!
Regards,
Samantha
Oooh, it's working on my kids already; you're going to LAUGH, because my kids are 13 and 11, and obviously they know the House Fairy is really MOM, but they think it's fun and they LOVE getting little surprises and notes from the House Fairy. My daughter thinks the House Fairy is adorable and she wants to watch the videos (she's the 13 year old!). The very day I signed up I left a letter (revised for older kids) on each of their pillows. Their rooms were a train wreck at the time. Within a day, both rooms were neat, tidy, and sparkling! Doing things the "old way," my kids would receive a set amount of "chore money" for doing a limited number of chores per week, and they would often slack on doing them. Now, the House Fairy leaves frequent little requests on their pillows that bring simple little rewards like a pack of gum and they respond. Bigger jobs get bigger rewards. It's like a fun game to them, and I don't think they'll ever grow tired of it. It has really changed our family dynamics--Mom yells a lot less, and the entire family is enjoying our clean, tidy home!

I was at my wits end! I told my husband last Friday that I was on strike as it seemed that while I cleaned one room, my two kids destroyed two others. I heard about you through Flylady and decided to give it a try. I called my kids in to tell them I had "hired" the House Fairy to check in on them. I told them that I was sad that the house was always a mess and I didn't feel like I could keep up (I have DD7 and DS5), to which my son said, "I am not cleaning my room today!" So I proceeded to read them the story "From Pigpen to Paradise." I was anxiously awaiting a response when my son grabbed my hand and led me to his room and said, "Come on, Mom! I need some help getting my room clean!" Yes, this is the same son who, only minutes before, had told me he wasn't cleaning today. He surface cleaned his entire room and his sister cleaned a big part of hers. I was setting my timer for 5 minutes and bouncing back and forth between the rooms. My daughter had two moments that made me beam, also. Yesterday, she said, "Mom, you'd better clean your room so the house fairy doesn't get mad at you!" Then, this afternoon she said, "I forgot to make my bed this morning so I just did it!
It is like some kind of miracle!!!! I never would have fathomed such a drastic turn-around!! You are a gift from God and I cannot thank you enough!!! I can't wait to get into the videos and get them decluttering, too! Part of their problem is that they have WAY too much stuff! Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, from the bottom of my heart! I am no longer on strike and am ready to get this ship sailin'!

I have three precious children 2, 4 and almost 7. I subscribed to the House Fairy today and when my two older children got home from their basketball lesson, I told them they were going to meet the House Fairy to help us keep their room clean. My oldest child immediately began to cry and yelled âThereâs no fairy; itâs just us who will be cleaning.â She always has a fit (throwing herself to the ground, crying, screaming) when I ask her to clean her room so I wouldnât have been surprised as this reaction. I showed my children the PapaTerry story and let them listen to the introduction where they are asked to pick up five things. Both girls went to their room and began cleaning. WOW! No fit, no fuss. They worked for almost an hour and when they were finished the closet was organized, books were on the shelf, clothes hung or folded and everything was neat. We went to get some dinner and when we returned YOU had come! They want to thank you for the fairy stickers and the laminated clean room membership cards. They were so excited. Before bed my oldest told me that she liked cleaning and even if the House Fairy had not come she really liked how nice the room felt. NOW THATâS AN ACCOMPLISHMENT.
Thank you for helping these kids get it together.
Jane
Dear House Fairy,
My brother, Grant, and I, Ryan, cleaned up 5 things in real life just like you said on the computer. Even though our closet is messy, we didn't stuff things in there.
Love, Ryan
Dear House Fairy,
I was good. I did not complain about cleaning in my room. I helped Mom set the table without any complaint.
Love,
Grant
My baby's room is clean. He's 2 1/2 and asks to watch the clean up movie and House Fairy song every time he passes my computer. He knew the House Fairy song by heart after watching it just 4 times. He asks everyday, "Mom can the House Fairy come to my room". He watched the introductory video and ran immediately to his room and cleaned up 15 toys!
This has been such a blessing to me and our family. My little guy wants to clean everything now. He's wearing me out! But I love it! Thank you so much for such a wonderful tool and program to teach my little angel how to be good and how to clean.

I showed my DD (6 1/2) just 2 videos and she told me, "Mom, I have to go
clean my room now." I asked her if she wanted to watch another movie.
She said, "No, I have to go now!"
She passed the five items challenged and proceeded to clean her room better
than I have ever seen her to all by herself. She's telling everyone in
the family about the House Fairy, even her little sister (21 months!)
She agreed that she could give away (!) a My Little Pony sleeping bag.
This from a little girl who does not knowingly part with anything.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Could you ask the House Fairy to make a video on helping your mom when
she asks you to clean up your toys in other rooms? Something about how
it's just good manners? My daughter told me, "The House Fairy says just
to clean up my room, not all the rooms!" It's amazing how she became an
authority on someone she just learned about this morning.

Dear House Fairy,
Little happy dance. I just found the perfect little 'box' with a purple winged kitty on it to have the House Fairy give my daughter as a container to receive the fairy dust that proves the house fairy has visited.
My daughter was so tickled that she got a letter from the House Fairy that she asked if I could take her to Papa and Grandma's so she could show them. They looked at the web site and think that you have started a good thing.
Lil' House Fairy Helper
This morning both children tore out of our room and thundered down the
stairs. I heard shrieks of delight and before I could roll over, they
were back upstairs. I had made welcome letters for both, using the
letterhead and then the words from the Generic letter. And I printed
off the Official House Fairy Rules for both of them.
Before you could say a word, Eric who is seven, had tacked his Official
Rules up in his room and was working through the list. By the time I
got my feet on the floor at 7 a.m. he had brought all his laundry to
the back room, his books to the bookshelves, and removed all his toys to
the toy room. Then together, they made all the beds in the house, which
was funny, since my husband works nights and they made our bed with him
in it!
So, sincerely! This has been great. I really do like the fact that I can use the House Fairy's authority to avoid nagging the children. It has been a long time since we have had such a harmonious day when it comes to "blessing our house."
Roberta
Dear House Fairy,
Your program is working great for our family!
I heard about you through Flylady. She has been such a help to me, giving great advice and encouragement. I've used a lot of her "secrets" with my children, but I tend to be a "drill sergeant" when it comes to getting my kids to do their chores.
Your website has been an eye opening experience for me. Not only were my kids IMMEDIATELY responsive to your videos, but also I realized that I've been trying to motivate them with "do this" then "do that," and not making it fun. You are motivating THEM and teaching ME how to make everyday routines fun.
Like Flylady, you are such a helpful mentor to me. Thank you so much!
Love, a mom of three in SC
P.S. Love the Papa Terry slides of your travels. Can't wait to see the castle in Austria!

Well, I'm amazed. We started three weeks ago and the results were almost instant. I have 9- year-old quadruplets and out of the four I have one BO daughter. But even she had started slipping and was stashing laundry and not cleaning her room as well as she had been. Since House Fairy started to visit they have all jumped on the bandwagon. Our two "slob sisters" now keep their rooms, closets and bathrooms picked up, and are making their beds almost daily. Our son who will stash and dash and try to get away with as little cleaning as possible is making his bed daily, cleaning his room, picking up his bathroom. Last night when I tucked him in he spotted a spider on the ceiling and helped me vacuum it up. Then, while the vacuum was out, he did a quick run over his carpet.
My daughter left a note with a drawing and asked if she could work with House Fairy and Santa Claus too when she grows up.
I am so grateful for your program. I was so frustrated and there were times I asked the kids to come out in the hall to kiss me goodnight because their rooms made me so upset. No amount of yelling, punishing, bribing would get it to change. Oh maybe for a day or so.
A bonus has come from your program. I am able to get through my cleaning more easily. Now I notice with the children's rooms picked up (plus they each have another room in the house they are responsible for) it's not as daunting for me to go through my clutter. It's like the peace is spreading throughout the house. Before I didn't see any hope and now it looks very manageable.
It's just a matter of time before our DS 14 gets it. He's still in the "House Fairy is stupid" phase, but she's waiting to see some small changes in his room so she can leave a CD, sheet music, a cool pen, or something else that he likes.
God bless you for all that you do. You are terrific.
I was quite skeptical that ANYTHING would motivate my four kids
(Alex 9, Kristina 7, Katie 5, Matthew, 3) to clean-up or
maintain their rooms. We showed them some videos from the
website, and they sang "The HF is comin' to my house" for most
of the evening. Alex now makes his bed every morning and picks
up the floor before bed (that never happened before). The girls'
room looked like someone threw a hand grenade in the door. With
some mommy help, we can now see the floor plus all clothes are put
away. It still needs to have some toys and dolls find a new
home, but a big improvement. Katie now asks what she can do
to help clean the rest of the house. Kristina is my big
challenge.... For the first HF visit, there were membership
cards, HF rules and introductory letter left on the desk
with a tiny bit of fairy dust. In a room that you could not
see the carpet for all of the clothes, toys, dolls, books,
papers and garbage on it, Kristina sees the glitter and
complains "That House Fairy left a mess on my desk! I thought
that she was supposed to help kids clean their rooms, not
leave a mess!" My husband and I almost choked to death laughing
at this.
Dear House Fairy,
I just want to thank you so much for the personal reply; it's going to make
her YEAR! You folks are AWESOME!!! Oh, and tell Papa Terry that
Cara has watched him read House Fairy's story about six times already
and isn't at all tired of it. I was a little worried that she was
going to race through all the videos all at once, but if she's this
willing to re-watch them over and over, I guess they'll last for some
time!
It's amazing (and a little annoying, but only a little) how she'll
clean up her room for you and not for me!!! But it really has been
kept neat for over two weeks now. It's AMAZING! I think in another
couple of weeks, we may need to invite the House Fairy to inspect the
toy room as well as the bedroom, but I figure "babysteps," as FLYLady
always tells us!
I've been trying to figure out how the House Fairy can come visit my
inner brat, without me feeling guilty for spending money on
myself. I'll figure something out, I'm sure!
Thanks so much,
Heather McCance
Hello, I am so excited about your program. My son is so
excited about this just from the small video's he has
seen. (Much more than I originally thought!) He is
basically a very tidy young man (six-years-old) since I have been
with Flylady for a while and have used her program
very successfully. Just from the first video he ran
upstairs and had a tough time finding five things to
clean. He put away the three stuffed animals he slept with
and made his bed then went in my room to fix my
decorative pillows to make the five items. He does leave
his playroom in a bit of a disaster and that is what
we will be working on when we receive your package.
Thanks again for your wonderful program.
PS my son's initials are TM and he thinks
your trademark on the title is directed specially at
him. How cute is that?
THANK YOU!!! My 5-year-old had made a beeline for his room to clean it at the first mention that the âhouse fairyâ might come to visit. The next day, my 10-year-old organized all of her drawers and she hadnât even received her introduction letter yet. The House Fairy came to visit this week and although the children were disappointed that they hadnât had time to clean up their entire rooms, they are determined to get things in shape. The House Fairy even visited my hubbyâs office and he was quite surprised himself. Hubby and kids are eager to not disappoint next week.
Thanks so much for being a positive encouragement for our family.
Y.P.
Dear House Fairy,
I just signed up for myself and my 6-year-old DD.
Thank you so much. You are bringing a wonderful gift to parents and children. I can't wait to start the program. In fact, you might just be visiting MY room and leaving some little surprises.
Thank you so very much,
Danielle
My kids have been much better about keeping their room clean knowing that they may have a special treat coming. They also love knowing where all their toys are. The best thing of all is it is spilling out of their room and into the living room. They make sure all of their stuff is picked up in the living room and will even help keep trash and what not picked up as well. I honestly can't remember the last time we had an argument over their room. We definitely love the peace that has entered our home.
Heather
Thank you House Fairy!!!! We are having such a fun time with this. I have two boys ages 4 and 6. Last night the 4-year-old fell out of bed. When I got to his room to help him get settled back to sleep, he said, "uh oh mom, there's some stuff we need to clean up here, or the House Fairy won't come!" I assured him that you could come while he was at school in the morning and that we'd have plenty of time to do our morning routine and pick up any miscellaneous items at that time.
I love the letterhead too, so I can send each boy his own letter appreciating his individual accomplishments! Even my husband is getting into the House Fairy routine. I will be returning to work full time in a week and I feel great knowing that I have given them the House Fairy to help give order to the transition.
Sarah W
ABSOLUTELY ASTONISHED!!!!! My 6-year-old who is definitely not BO (even at birth...she had a messy womb! the placenta was ripped apart during labor!) Anyway, I started her off with a positive, cutting a little slack by giving her a treat the first time the fairy came. Then I let her have a visit with a messy room. I thought my daughter would get mad and give up. But she came home from school, shut her door, peeked out and told me not to come in, and 10 minutes later invited me in to see her cleaned up room. I almost dropped dead!!! So she got an extra special treat from the house fairy the next day for having a great attitude and was sooo excited she took the autographed picture to school to share with her class! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! By the way, she said she was mad when she realized HF had been there and not left a treat, but she said to herself "oh well, I'd better clean up my room!" I can't tell you how shocked I am. My husband and I thought she would be messy forever.
Thank you doesn't seem to be enough! God bless you!
Susan
Hi,
I am so pleased with how the House Fairy is motivating my children to clean their rooms. My oldest used to always whine and cry whenever he was asked to clean. He would say he couldn't do it, it was too hard and he needed help. Since he learned of the House Fairy, he has been able to figure out how to clean. The videos have been helpful, and helped motivate us to organize the kids' shared bedroom so that they know where things go.
I think this program is awesome. Thanks so much!
Jane
Hi,
The House Fairy has been great. Not only are the kids keeping their rooms tidy, but my older son is starting to spontaneously offer to do small chores around the house. Makes my life so much easier.
Thank you,
Sharon
Dear House Fairy,
I am a Granmama and our 21-year-old granddaughter is living with us until she gets married. She had moved from the dorm, after graduating, straight to our home. She had lots of clothes, books, boxes and âthings.â Her room remained a real mess. This was not like her as she has stayed with us before and kept her room really neat.
A LIGHT BULB MOMENT! I had already ordered your House Fairy Program because it was inexpensive and I loved the ideas and thought I would show it to my daughters-in-law. (We have 8 grandchildren.) Then it just dawned on me my sweet granddaughter might think it was fun.
I rewrote the introductory letter with your letter head to fit our situation, told her that her grandmother was being checked by the House Fairy too, put the letter in her room. Not a word was said, but the next day her room was shining. I waited a couple of days to see if it would last and about the 4th day, the House Fairy paid a visit and left her a nice gift and a note. Neither of us has discussed it except she came up smiling that night and said âI loved what the House Fairy left.â I just smiled and said, "Me, too, she left me some deodorant.â It is like a fun secret between us and it is just like Santa, the House Fairy is beginning to seem real. Thank you for such a fun idea. (I must go clean my room in case you drop by for a visit today)
Dear House Fairy,
I think this is going to be a great encouragement to our children.
We already had them heading in the right direction due to my
Involvement with the Flylady. Clean houses breed clean rooms.
I am so happy that we are including good behavior as a part of
Our important things we need to do. My children (3 and 5) are
Very excited about âHouse Fairy.â They canât wait to get on the
Website and watch another video.
Thanks Soooo Much,
Melinda
Thank you so much! The children just finished tidying up their rooms. I
heard, "Is the house fairy coming tonight?" about ten times! We have never
"done" Santa, the Tooth Fairy nor the Easter Bunny in our home but I thought
your system would work very well for us. So what did I do? I made the
program work for MY family. I flat out told the kids that the house fairy
wasn't real but we were going to play make-believe that she was. It was
going to be a game. I sent them the letters in the mail & use the 'fairy
dust' and your ideas for rewards. They love it! When we moved our stuff into our
remodeled walk-in closet this week (we have one giant one for the entire
family) the children told me they only needed seven of everything because that
is what "the house fairy says!" Brilliant! And we haven't even seen all the
video clips!
Thanks a bunch!
